Terms and conditions

  1. This Raffle is being promoted by and on behalf of the Leeds United Foundation, Registered charity number: 1137703 (the Society).

  2. The Society is operating a Society Lottery under the Gambling Act 2005

  3. The raffle is promoted by Simon Fox, Leeds United Foundation, Elland Rd, Leeds LS11 0ES, under a small society lottery by Leeds City Council, licence no. LOTREG/04788/15  

  4. By entering the draw, participants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and Rules.

  5. The draw closes for entries at 23:59 on 31st October.

  6. To enter the draw a ticket (or tickets) must be purchased from this website.

  7. The winners of the draw will be chosen at random from all entries received by the Closing Date.

  8. There are 5 prizes (the Prizes) available to be won in the draw:

    1. Be an exclusive VIP guest to a Leeds United training session. Meet the manager, players, backroom staff - and gain an insight into the United life

    2. Have lunch with LUFC Manager Thomas Christiansen

    3. Win a dinner date with Pontus Jansson and be presented with a pair of his very own signed playing boots

    4. Win hospitality tickets for 4 guests to a Leeds United Home game

    5. Win a 'mini-me' matchday experience for your child: they'll shadow our matchday PA announcer, our LUTV presenter, interview United stars after the game and 'Tweet for the club'

  9. Unless otherwise stated prize recipients must be over 16. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. For the ‘mini-me’ experience children must be aged between 7 and 13 years old.

  10. The experiences will take place on a date to be mutually agreed between the Society and the Winner.

  11. If you win and wish to give the prize as a gift, specific approval must be obtained from Leeds United Foundation

  12. Transport is not included in the prizes. All other costs and expenses in taking up a prize, including but not limited to, spending money as required, are the winners’ and guests’ own. The prizes are as stated and nothing else is included.

  13. Where relevant, the Prizes will be delivered to an address specified by the winner to a specified address

  14. No cash alternative is available

  15. Leeds United Foundation reserves the right in exceptional and unforeseen circumstances to substitute any of the Raffle prizes for a similar prize at their absolute discretion

  16. Your chances of winning are variable, depending on how many tickets are sold for the raffle as a whole. Your winning odds are the number of tickets you have purchased divided by the total number of tickets in the draw.

  17. The game is open to all UK residents who are aged 16 (sixteen) or over on the date of ticket purchase, (except for Capen Ltd staff and members of the Society directly responsible for administering the raffle).

  18. Any person found to be under 16 (sixteen) years of age on the date of ticket purchase automatically forfeits the right to the Prize.

  19. You must be 16 (sixteen) or over to play or claim a prize. We may conduct random checks of entrants to ensure there are no underage players. Random checks are conducted using AgeChecked (or similar service from a third party supplier as and when stipulated). If a person enters the game stating that they are over the age of 16 (sixteen)  and subsequently it is found that they are less than 16 (sixteen)  years of age, they will have any money paid in relation to the draw returned to them and where relevant will automatically forfeit the right to any prize.

  20. The winner may need to provide proof of age before collecting the prize. Acceptable documentation of the winner’s proof of age will be a scan of their passport or driving license.

  21. When you purchase a ticket for the draw a unique ticket number will be issued and displayed onscreen at the point of purchase. Confirmation of your ticket number/s will also be emailed to the address supplied during the ticket purchasing process.

  22. Tickets to enter the draw are priced at £1 each or can be bought individually or in ticket bundles from this website and individuals are limited to a total spend of £100.

  23. All draw entry sales are final. Refunds are at the sole discretion of the Society and will be payable only where the Society deems it reasonable, having regard for all the circumstances. All participants acknowledge that their payment of the ticket price does not guarantee that they will win any Prize.

  24. Full payment for each ticket must be received in cleared funds before the ticket can be entered into the draw. Only tickets for which full payment has been received are eligible to win the Prize/s.

  25. Payment for tickets can be made by debit/credit card only.

  26. Winners of the Raffle Prizes will be contacted by the Society within seven working days of the draw taking place. Details of the winners will also be posted on the Website.

  27. The Society’s decision as to whether or not a ticket is a winning ticket (in accordance with these draw terms) or in respect of any matter or dispute arising from the allocation of prizes, is final. In accordance with our Complaints Procedure, In the event that a dispute cannot be resolved, in accordance with Lotteries Council protocol the matter will be referred to The Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS).

  28. All participants are solely responsible for providing and (where necessary) updating the Society with their accurate and up-to-date contact details and the Society will be in no way liable for any failure or inability to contact any participant due to any errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the contact details that the participant has provided.

  29. The Society shall not be liable to any participant for any loss or damage suffered or arising from:

    1. any delays or failures in the delivery methods used by the Society or the participant;

    2. any delays or failures in any software or other systems used by the Society for the administration of the draw;

    3. any delays or failures in the banking system used by the Society or the participant;

    4. any refusal by the Society to accept an individual’s entry or the cancellation of an entry;

    5. any event beyond the reasonable control of the Society.

  30. To the extent permitted by law, the Society excludes any liability for loss or damage incurred by any winner of a Prize in connection with or arising from the use of the Prize or participation in the draw.

  31. The Society is committed to protecting the privacy of participants. Personal information that is collected from participants is used lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. In providing your information to the Society, you consent to the Society using your information to process your entry and otherwise as described in these terms and conditions including (but not limited to) passing winners’ contact details on to representatives of third party companies used for the purposes of fulfilling the Prize and publishing winners’ names on the Website.   32. The Society reserves the right to:

    1. disqualify or decline to accept the entry of any participant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the participant has breached any of these terms or otherwise acted fraudulently;

    2. terminate or suspend the draw for reasons beyond its reasonable control

  33. In the event of any dispute regarding the draw, if the dispute cannot be resolved by the parties, it will be referred to an independent third party. Please refer to the Social Responsibility Policy at website address.

  34. This draw is a form of gambling. Participants are encouraged to gamble responsibly. Please read our Social Responsibility Policy or visit the GamCare website (http://www.gamcare.org.uk) for more information on Problem Gambling.

  35. The Laws of England and Wales shall govern the interpretation and/or enforcement of these Rules. The Society and all participants hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
